I created this blog three months ago, made a single post, and have had zero response since then.
Where are all my readers?
Staying away in droves.
A normal person might be discouraged. I wouldn't know. All I know is that I need to share what I know, whether or not anyone is interested. I just may be something like the wireless operator on the Titanic, tapping out a message on the telegraph key, unable to determine whether or not anyone was receiving the message.
I guess a writer has to have either faith, a monstrous ego, or a desperate need to do something that might make a difference.
I was reading the fourth chapter of The New Rules of Marketing and PR today and learned that David Scott's most important communications tool was his blog. It's what launched his book and other successful communications ventures. So, I decided that I would take his advice and start blogging.
Whether or not this blog makes any difference or not, I'm going to make it a point to post my ideas here, large and small.
Scott also suggests writing about something about which one feels passionately.
I feel passionate about freedom; it's something that I want for every human being. Political freedom is vital, true, and democracy is superior to any known alternative, but the freedom I especially care about is financial freedom. I would like everyone on the planet to have the economic security that allows them to do whatever it is that they really want to do.
I believe that prosperity is an important foundation for the family. I would like every family to have a way to make plenty of money without having to work for someone else. Right now, we're a nation of wage slaves. I'd like us to be a nation of entrepreneurs.
This is why I am organizing the Genesis Team, LLC to serve as a business incubator. Our goal is to help startup and early stage organizations survive the dangerous white water of the first part of the small business adventure. We'll help them write a short, crisp working business plan, find the financing they need and avoid the most common pitfalls that doom 95% of small businesses to failure within the first five years. We'll fund our organization's continued growth by asking for 15% of every company we help survive and thrive.
This blog is going to be about how to get more out of life. Participate and you can learn and teach the principles of happiness, health, and that all around favorite: wealth.
Might as well share the key principle in case you don't come back for more. The secret of getting ahead is service: helping others. If you are genuinely helpful to your fellows and keep at it, you are making a wise investment in your own welfare.
Remember, you learned it from
Your Friend,
